Its been a chaotic week at work - leaving me burnt out or too busy to take pictures during the day. So I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel here. Mention 1 word around this guy and instant excitement.

Day 88 - March 29, 2010 - "The Arrow"
Noticed this drawn with chalk on a nearby building today ... slightly creeped out by it because the arrow just points to a inset doorway about 2 ft deep. It goes no where - its not hidden from anything.

Day 87 - March 28, 2010 - "Nerding Out"
F1 season is here - time to start the near weekly nerd out sessions of watching the race live and following the live timing/scoring online.

Day 86 - March 27, 2010 - "Mix"
Another one of those days where I realize much too late that I had no picture for the day. So I decided to learn a bit about the onboard flash on the camera. I'm usually one thats pretty quick to talk down about the onboard flash systems ... but I'm surprised at what you might be able to do it with.
Day 85 - March 26, 2010 - "Old Times" - Revisit Friday #13
Another Friday another revisit Friday ... oh ok so technically its Saturday when this post is going up ... was too busy yesterday to post it up. But since it was a revisit day it works out ok. This picture wasn't taken by me, but I wanted to share it anyway. Its a picture taken of my Grand Dad's old service station, thats him standing in the doorway. I'm always entranced by these old pictures, hence why I volunteered to scan in every single family photo album we have (some 20+ of them) so I could have access to all these old pictures.

Day 84 - March 25, 2010 - "Crumbling"
Heres a lawsuit waiting to happen - a step not far from the office. The winter freeze/thaw has taken its toll on this old sidewalk and its looking pretty bad.

Day 83 - March 24, 2010 - "Inner Workings"
Coors Field is always interesting to me because of these things. A modern steel frame hiding behind a make believe historic looking brick facade that fits into the neighborhood. Great job of integrating the old with the new.

Day 82 - March 23, 2010 - "Adverse Weather Conditions"
A lovely spring snow storm. Moved in quick and settled over the area. Makes the drive home interesting, luckily we beat the worst of it.
Today is a three picture post.

Day 80 - March 21, 2010 - "Digitally Dead"
This picture is brought on from a discussion I've been having with people lately. A year ago I made an easy mistake. I had a hard drive in an external enclosure sitting on top of my computer tower. I walked across the room wearing a pair of shoes with a known propensity to cause me to static shock just about anything. Stupid me forgot to discharge the built up energy prior to touching the drive ... and "POP" ... drive dead. Haven't been able to revive it since. Lesson learned? yes - back up - back up - back up.

Day 79 - March 21, 2010 - "Incredible Seats"
My brother landed some amazing seats today, thanks to a friend of his who couldn't use them. Had to bring my tiny point and shoot for this (not lugging that big camera to the game), so I couldn't really get close up shots of the players. So I went with a panorama instead. Taken at halftime of the Denver Nuggets vs. Milwaukee Bucks game. Big thanks to Matt on this way - was a great game, too bad Lawson wasn't able to play.

Day 76 - March 17, 2010 - "Still Good"
Could've gone with the token St. Patrick's Day photo of beer ... only one slight problem with that .. no beer at the house .. and no interest in a picture of it, if I had some. I squandered a perfectly good day outside today by working inside an office all day long. So I'm making due with something from around the house. An older Canon SLR (film!) that I still use from time to time. Now if I could just find the time to develop the few rolls that are finished up.

Day 75 - March 16, 2010 - "Gift"
I received a really really cool anniversary gift today (early yes ...). A custom painted Louis Vuitton Keepall 55 - Mon Monogram. Completely made for me in France. I'm psyched, and even more so because my old luggage is officially broken and wouldn't make it another trip.

Day 71 - March 12 - "Bog Garden"
This picture was taken in Greensboro, NC while I was there visiting family. Picture is sorta surrealistic which fits that location pretty well.

Day 70 - March 11, 2010 - "Better Days"
Definately sick - which is a rarity for me - so I got to enjoy the joys of asking the pharmacist for sudafed like I'm a meth dealer looking for supplies.

Day 67 - March 8, 2010 - "Spark"
Was going to continue with the theme started yesterday ... but my idea didn't pan out like I'd hoped it would. So I might return to that theme another time. As I've said before ... when all else fails - fire.

Day 65 - March 6, 2010 - "3D Test"
Been reading about how these 3D photos work recently and been wanting to test something out, just hadn't gotten around to it. Now with 15 minutes of today left and no picture to show for it ... now is good I guess. Neat concept - something to try out again.

Day 64 - March 5, 2010 - "Treasures" - Revisit Friday #10
While I was in grad school I was in a studio class about rural architecture. One weekend a semester we all went up to Steamboat, Colorado and work with an owner of a ranch to design a building for him, and also catalog the buildings the owner had on site. This particular ranch was a gold mine of really cool stuff. The owner was a collector of sorts - basically anything and everything that caught his fancy he bought. Now he didn't really have a place to store all these items so most of them just sat out all over his land.

Day 62 - March 3, 2010 - "Urban Art #2"
Another ad that resides down in LoDo. Painted on the side of an old brick building. I'm sure its been restored many times over the years but I think its fantastic that they keep it around and keep it looking nice.

Day 61 - March 2, 2010 - "Bygone"
Probably the #1 reason why I like LoDo as much as I do, the stories the buildings in this area can tell. You can find features like the below all over LoDo, little details that tell history of the building. This might become a running theme in this blog.

Day 60 - March 1, 2010 - "Curly"
Watched them build these condos a few years back and love how each unit gets its own private staircase to their own private roof top deck.
